The Frans Schartau Business Institute launched a course on shop management in February 2008 in collaboration with several store chains.
Your future as a shop manager
This training programme will provide you with the skills required to manage a shop. You will be able to use your shop management skills in different areas depending on your own wishes and experience. You can either work as a sales manager, product area manager, head of a department or as a shop manager with full responsibility for staff and performance. You will gain a wide range of skills and be able to apply your training to everything from fashion and interiors to leisure and everyday commodities.

The retail sector is characterised by strong growth. At the same time, the skills profile for leadership is changing owing to the retail sector and new technology becoming increasingly global. Everything you need
The programme comprises three terms of full-time studies; a third of this time is spent in shops for Work Place Training (WPT). This training course includes courses within sales, finance and leadership so that you receive an all-round understanding of shop management. The close link to real life is a recurring theme throughout the course and study visits and lecturers from the sector are key components of the programme.
