Nowadays, pharmacies deal with much more than prescription drugs. As a pharmacist’s aide, you will also provide suggestions and advice about everything from dental care and hygiene to sun protection and self-care for minor ailments. After three terms of full-time studies, we can guarantee that you will have the skills required to meet the changing needs of a pharmacist’s aide position.
Good prospects
According to Apoteket AB, the future breakup of the Apoteket monopoly will result in a great demand for pharmacist’s aides. At the same time, it is estimated that around a thousand of Sweden’s pharmacist’s aides will retire over the forthcoming ten-year period, resulting in a great demand for trained staff, not only in metropolitan areas but throughout the country.

Everything you need
The programme offers everything from basic courses in medicine and self-care skills to communicating with customers and business administration; this ensures that the training programme is as comprehensive as possible. Fifteen of the sixty weeks on the training course will be spent at a pharmacy so that you gain an in-depth insight into the role of a pharmacist’s aide and can test your skills in real-life situations. You will also have an opportunity to go on a number of interesting study visits to various organisations with links to the work of the pharmacy.
