Your future as a medical secretary
After three terms of full-time studies, you will have the skills required to work as a medical secretary at, for instance, a hospital, a care centre within corporate healthcare, or a pharmaceutical company. You will have many work tasks that will vary depending on where you are working.
You will be the main link between patients, relatives and staff and will employ a high level of service, sensitivity, initiative, flexibility and, last but by no means least, accuracy.
Good prospects
The health and medical care sector is currently in the midst of a process of change where there will be a great need for administrative staff with up-to-date vocational. In order to relieve the pressure on care staff, medical secretaries are taking on an increasing level of responsibility for
administrative tasks within medical care, and demand is continuously increasing. With your training and the practical experience that you will gain during your WPT period, your prospects are viewed as excellent.
Everything you need
This programme includes three terms of full-time studies, of which one third comprises Work Place Training (WPT) at various workplaces within the health and medical care sector. The range of courses includes everything from anatomy and pathology to finance and communications so that you are well prepared for the varying work tasks that await you. The programme is run in close collaboration with both the public and private care sector, which participates through a variety of guest lectures and study visits.
