Accounting Consultant, 80 credits
Your future as an accounting consultant
After two years of study, you will have the skills required for a career as an accounting consultant. You will gain the practical knowledge required to work at, for instance, auditing and accountancy firms, or employment agencies specialising in financial consultation. You will also have a solid basis from which to start your own business.
Good prospects
There is a very high demand for business administrators in general, and particularly for accounting consultants. All of the daily newspapers are advertising for accounting consultants and cannot currently meet the demand of their customers. In our assessment, there are excellent prospects for skilled accounting consultants, partly because accountancy plays an important role in the business sector and partly because more demands are being placed on accountants. The skills provided through this course are in very high demand in the business sector and virtually all of our students find jobs following graduation.
Everything you need
You will be able to participate in instructive work experience cases, go on study visits and attend interesting guest lectures so that your training is as wide-ranging as possible.
Throughout the course, you will be using the same tools and systems for your practical work that are used by accounting departments. This means that you will be well prepared for both WPT periods and your future career. Twenty weeks of the programme comprise Work Place Training (WPT) at different workplaces within the field of accountancy.
The programme concludes with a comprehensive project where you take on the role of an accounting consultant and conduct a study of a company or other organisation.
